Construction Zones (CZ).
In response to questions raised as to the correct procedures to be used if a golf ball enters a stipulated CZ. CZs can be found on 1st hole, 7th hole, 8th hole and 17a hole. Players are not permitted to enter areas designated as construction zones.
The MC has decided to declare construction zones as No Play Zones (NPZ), with stipulations under the abnormal course conditions.
The following Local Rule will operate immediately.
If your ball enters a No Play Zone –
- And you cannot see your ball in the NPZ, you can take free relief of 2 club lengths adjacent to the agreed point of entry, where your ball last crossed the boundry of the NPZ, no nearer the hole;
- And you can see and identify your ball in the NPZ (while standing outside), you are permitted to take free relief of 2 club lengths adjacent to your ball position, on the edge of the NPZ, no nearer the hole.
