Subsequent to our recent meeting with the Georges River Council Executive team, we can confirm their genuine commitment to restoring all the greens as a matter of extreme urgency.
The Council acknowledged that the recent issue was caused primarily by the use of poor-quality water, and reiterated their sincere apology for this situation. They also confirmed that potable water will be used on all the greens until the total rectification of other water sources.
Annual Coring
All the greens will be closed for 2 days in mid-March for the annual deep coring process. Subject to amenable weather conditions, this work has been scheduled for Monday 18th and Tuesday 19th March. As a result, the Tuesday competition will be cancelled for that week only.
You will see that some positive progress has already occurred, so whilst this ongoing course restoration work is being undertaken, we ask for your continued patience.
Finally, we reiterate the importance of relying only on statements of fact, rather than rumours and conjecture.
Happy golfing!
