Recognition for the Club's hardest worker
Hurstville Golf Club is delighted to advise that Club Secretary, Jeff Fairbairn, received an award at the recent 14th Annual St George Community Awards in recognition of his exceptional contribution to the club. The St George Community Awards recognise residents and organisations that make outstanding contributions to the community and this year hundreds of nominations were received with only the most noteworthy efforts being recognised.
Jeff’s contribution to the club cannot be overstated. As Secretary, he already undertakes the most demanding job in the club, but additionally, Jeff takes the phone bookings for Saturday competitions, assists with closing the competitions and manages the new member processing. Jeff is also a member of the Monday Course Volunteers group and his work with a chainsaw is awe-inspiring.
We are very grateful to Jeff for the time he contributes and our club would not function as smoothly as it does without his efforts.
Next time you see Jeff out on the course please congratulate him for receiving the award and maybe spend a couple minutes helping him find his ball.
