Women's B1 Pennant - Round 6
Hurstville 2 Lost to Oak Park 3
Today, the Bronze 1 pennants team removed a vial of petrol from the bank safety deposit box and travelled to Oak Park Golf Course (ex Liverpool GC). It was the final round, and today’s results would determine the overall winner. Unfortunately, Hurstville was not part of that equation.
Hurstville played in the early time slot, and it was still gloomy as Linda teed off first. After being down in her match, Linda fought back and took her match to the 17th hole before succumbing to a 2/1 loss. Donna also fought bravely but went down 4/2.
With steely-eyed determination, Dot overcame her opponent for a 3&2 win. Dale has a new driver that she hasn’t been using, and we think it is time for her to unleash the beast. On the third hole Vicki had her peanut and salted caramel muesli bar stolen by a crow. As any golfing snack expert will know, this is the king of muesli bars. The ensuing rage motivated her to a 4/3 win.
RESULTS
| No 1. | Linda Rolfe | Lost 2&1 |
| No 2 | Donna Hanagan | Lost 4&2 |

In the end, it was The Coast Golf Club who were the winners of Bronze 1 pennants. While Hurstville didn’t have the season we would have liked, the team shows promise, and there will be great things for them in the future. Thank you to all the players who participated, and a super special shout-out to Fay Zajakovski, who managed the team like a legend. Thanks Fay!
