Hurstville 3 Defeated Marrickville 2
A few match reports have been missed while I was travelling, but I arrived back to the great (but not unexpected) news that Hurstville Bronze 2 team had their first win while playing at Beverley Park last Friday. The Hurstville team had been showing considerable promise and it’s fantastic to see them convert their close matches into wins.
Mimi was the first player off for Hurstville. Previously Mimi has had a win and a draw, so she now has the complete set with a 6&5 loss. Linda showed her pennants experience with a comfortable 5&3 win. Julie’s match was much closer but she was able to finish with a 1 up win on the last hole.
We would all like to know what Joanne has for breakfast before the match because she was on fire with a huge 8&6 win. Mary took a close match to the 18th but unfortunately lost 2 down.

The second last round will be held this Friday at Cronulla. The Hurstville team will be facing Kareela. Kareela are always a tough team to play, but I’m sure the Hurstville ladies will be able to continue their winning streak.
