Hurstville v St Michaels
The Team arrived at Bonnie Doon in warm sunlight and a cooling breeze. Ideal golfing weather, I’m sure you would agree. Our opponent was St Michaels, a very old and establisher golf club.
The golf course looked in superb condition. Our team fought strongly all day but could not overcome the St Michaels team. We were beaten 8 to 0 by a very strong team.
One of our strongest showings was Ian Rydstrand, who was beaten by a putt on the final
green. David Felstead played strongly to go down 2&1. Todd Shaw and Trevor Ratcliffe, our
#1 & 2, went down by 3&2, both played solidly but the bounce of the ball was not with them. The rest of our team did their best but were out played on the day, on a Division 1 Golf Course.
Our next game is Monday, 20 July at Cronulla, where our opponent is Woolooware. We are
in the first game at 9am.

The Matches were played in good spirits and true to the friendly traditions of Super Senior golf. Our compliments to St Michaels, who had very complimentary things to say to our team after the game. I offer my thanks to our Team, for representing our Golf Club in good spirits, after a tough day on the greens.
