Hurstville v Georges River
It was the final round of the Warren and Gibson pennants, and the Hurstville teams were playing away at Georges River.
Warren Team
After a great win last week, the Wazza team had the tables turned on them when they faced Georges River at their home course. Both the No. 1 team of Perry and Nick and the No. 3 team of Tim and John suffered a 5&4 loss. No.2 team, Matt and Mark, held out for a few more holes for a 3&2 loss. The highlight of the day was the pizzas served by Georges River after the match.
Gibson Team
The last report for the last game, which was a dead rubber for both Georges River and us, ended in a 3-nil defeat for us. All matches were played with much enthusiasm, and local knowledge won out in the end. The course had many hidden trenches that favoured the locals with their local knowledge.
Congrats to all participants this year. I would like to especially mention Stephen Ireland for being available and contesting all six matches this season. Also, Peter Wunderfennig, Chris Papac, Bruce Monahan and Paul Kim for taking an interest and inquiring about results when not playing.
Happy golfing for the rest of the year Gibbos, and I hope to see some of you again next year.
Cheers Michael

So that’s it for Warren and Gibson for this year. Both teams finished third in their pool. Lakeside Camden progressed to the Warren finals, and Muirfield topped the Gibson leaderboard.
Thank you to all the players, caddies and supporters. Once again, Mark and Michael did a superb job of managing the team, and we are very grateful for their efforts.
