Hurstville v Ryde Parramatta 3 - 2 Loss
This week the Mixed Pennants team travelled north to Wakehurst Golf Club to play Ryde Paramatta. The overall result was much closer this week with the Hurstville team going down 3-2.
Judy won the first hole by threading a chip shot through a narrow gap from the rough and the number 1 team was never behind from that point onwards. Janette was the consistent player of the second team with partner Rowan stringing several good holes together on the back nine to be narrowly defeated on the 16th hole. Matthew and Danielle had a lovely day out and saw a snake, lots of lizards, and a wallaby.
The big win of the day belonged to Nick and Pam with a comprehensive 5&4 win. Pam’s only regret was missing a short putt that could have given them a 6&5 win (but that would be overachieving I think). Tim and Janet rallied back after being behind in their match and took their opposition to the 17th hole before having a 2&1 loss.
