As mentioned in last week’s report, Hurstville was hosting the other Teams on Monday, 27 July 2026. After almost 2 weeks on sunshine and wind, the course had dried out and looked flawless. I must acknowledge Peter Burn (Course Superintendent) for cutting all the greens and other preparty work early in the day, to have the course at it’s best for the Pennant players. We had many compliments from members of prestigious courses, such as The Lakes, Bonnie Doon and St Michaels. Thank you Peter.
We also had 12 plus members of our pennant team come and act as spotters and some of
the Monday Volunteers helped out also. Too many to name but thank you all. You also
received many thanks from the players, who appreciated your effort.
Results were as follows –
| The Lakes 4 | DREW with | Kareela 4 |
| Woolooware 5 | Defeated | St Michaels 3 |
| Cronulla 5 | Defeated | Bonnie Doon 3 |
Pennant players were very complimentary about the refreshments served and drinks provided by Hurstville and kept coming back for more. Thanks must go to Johnny Wallace for organising the food and delivering it in plenty of time.
Our next game is on Monday, 3 August at the St Michaels course and our opponent is The
Lakes. We are off first, at 10.00am.
A final thank you to Stewart for his assistance in arranging tee times and helping visiting
manages and also the spotters who helped the field keep moving. Until next week.
