Hurstville v The Lakes
Unfortunately, I couldn’t attend St Michaels with the Team on Monday, 3 August. My 1999 Commodore has virtually given up the ghost. I say this with great regret as we ‘crushed’ The Lakes 4.5 to 3.5.
This week’s report will use Warwick Berrett’s account of the matches –
“Sorry you missed it yesterday as the boys all played well. 7 players were up at half-way. Ian (Rydstrand) came back from 2 dn after 9 to get the crucial half at the 18th to give us the win. Dave (Felstead), Danny (Rothwell) and Todd (Shaw) all went to the 18th. With Dave and Danny securing the half’s and Todd just missing out with his last putt from 5 ft, just sliding by.
We are a great chance to get into 2nd spot if we can post 2 good wins in our final matches. We need Bonnie Doon to half or just pip St Michaels next week, to give us a chance to sneak into 2nd place in the Division”.

Our next game is FRIDAY, 14 August at Woolooware, where our opponent is Kareela. We are in the final game at 11am.
The St Michaels course is always presented in beautiful condition and suited our players on the day. Our compliments to St Michaels, who provided a hot meal (Lasagna, chips and salad). I offer my appreciation to our Team for a job well done and Todd for looking after the admin on my behalf.
