At this year’s Annual General Meeting long-standing President, David Moody, stepped down. We are delighted to introduce Steve Osborne as our new President and tell you a little bit about him.
Steve Osborne
Steve joined the Hurstville Golf Club committee 4 years ago. He is a fanatical golfer, with a handicap down as low as 7 a few years ago, but now frustratedly fluctuating well above that from time to time.
Originally from Albury, Steve has worked across lots of small towns and some other countries across Asia and Europe. He has had a 42 year working career, split almost equally across Corporate & Institutional Banking, and within specialist Risk Management firms. Now semi-retired, Steve sits on a few boards as Chairman, Company Director or Advisor, and is occasionally drawn into consulting roles mainly to help foreign governments identify and resolve emerging risks.
Steve is excited by the challenge of the President's role, and keen to maintain the quality framework already in place, to ensure all members continue to enjoy golf in a friendly environment on a quality golf course.
You can see Steve out on the course most Saturdays and on the occasional sneaky mid-week round. Make sure you say hello if you see him.
