The dates for Match Play qualifying has changed due to the ongoing wet weather.  Please see amended dates below:

The 2022 Match Play Championship qualifying rounds will be held on Saturday 5 February and Saturday 2 April 2022.

The members with the best sixteen scores over the two qualifying days will progress to the Match Play Championship which will be held over four weeks from Saturday 9 April to Saturday 7 May 2022.  Easter Saturday 16 April will not be part of the Match play Championships. You only need to play in one of the qualifying rounds as the best score over the two rounds is counted (i.e. the scores are not aggregated).

To qualify for the Match Play Championships:

• You need to be a financial member of the club with an active AGU handicap.
• You need to be available to play on each of the four rounds of the Championship finals.

The players with the best sixteen scores from either of the two qualifying rounds will be entered into a seeded knock out draw.

Registration

To participate in the championships you MUST be available for all 4 rounds.

These rounds will be played from the Blue & Red tees.

If you can’t fulfill these requirements or don’t wish to compete please mark you card “NTQ” and you will be taken out of the event.

The top 16 players will qualify and will be contacted to make sure of their availability.

If anyone can’t play from the top 16 the next player (e.g.17th and so on) will be contacted for availability.
