1st October 2021
Club Update.
As NSW heads for 80% full vaccination rates, the current 5km rule will end and, on the 11th October, will see the club welcome back all members, regardless of address.
Bookings can be made in groups of 4, if all are fully vaccinated. Those not fully vaccinated will need to play in groups of twos in the last hour of the competition. Initially the competition will operate from the 1st tee only. The club will continue to monitor how this is working and make changes as required.
Course Improvement Works
The easing of Covid construction restrictions have enabled golf course improvement works to recommence.
Contractors have recently completed irrigation and topsoil placement on 10th and 1st green complex leaving trimming and final green shaping ready for turf and seeding – the turfing works here are scheduled to start in coming weeks as conditions get warmer.
Irrigation works have commenced on the 9th green complex with the green subgrade still to undergo final shaping along with a small amount of drainage installation for the surrounding bunkers.
Subgrade shaping works have commenced on 1st, 10th and 8th Tees as well as 6th fairway – with the shaping of the 18th green complex and drainage installation currently in progress.
At this stage, the contractors (Flemming) are anticipating to complete construction works in approximately 10 -12 weeks should favourable conditions prevail.
Clubhouse Building Works
The golf course clubhouse works are progressing well after the shutdown.
The slab has been poured and is currently curing. The main shed will be completed by the end of October and the temporary amenities and pro shop will come into effect then.
Works then will commence on the clubhouse with the players entrance shifting towards the old 9th green which will allow the first tee works and the clubhouse works to be carried out unaffected.
